People’s Power. The Arab World in Revolt

The Heinrich Böll Stiftung Foundation just published a special edition of their ‘Perspectives Middle East’ journal, called People’s Power: the Arab World in Revolt.
 This publication seeks to provide analysis of the protest movements origins while addressing key questions about what has really happened, if these popular revolts will translate into sustainable change, if counter-movements will emerge and in what way foreign interests will determine the course of events. Can we talk of the Arab « Spring », « awakening » or « renaissance »? Is a new political culture emerging? How have the current revolutions cracked the so-called Arab exception? This edition offers diverse viewpoints of experts, witnesses and actors of the revolution.
