Paris, June 22, 2018: Feedback on the African Diasporas Forum

The first African Diasporas Forum was held on Friday, June 22nd, at the Palais des Congrès in Paris. Led by IPEMED and organized by Classe Export in association with Euro2c, the event gathered 2,852 participants, 50 exhibitors, 194 press accreditations, and collected 1,405 tweets issued during the event.

These figures acknowledge the great success of the Forum, which brought together for the first time young entrepreneurs, members of Diasporas and economic and political decision-makers from Europe, the Mediterranean and Africa.

Conferences, round tables, thematic workshops, the palaver tree or the various stands of the show have promoted the meetings and exchanges between these different actors. These dialogue Forums highlighted the actions carried out by the Diasporas and contributed without taboos to the debates on the economic role of the Mediterranean and African Diasporas in their host country and their country of origin.
