Professor Jean-Louis Rastoin, member of IPEMED’s Scientific Committee, took part in the Meeting of the main actors of the Tunisian protein crops industry, that was held in Tunis on 5 March 2019 and organised by the AGROPOL (Association for the international development of protein crops industries). J.-L. Rastoin made a lecture called “Ensuring sustainable regional food safety through Euro-Mediterranean codevelopment”, in the framework of the workshop “Perspectives and challenges of the development of the rapeseed industry in Tunisia”. This talk was an opportunity to discuss food insecurity in the Mediterranean, as well as ideas to take up the challenges of this insecurity, in the framework of a Euro-Mediterranean codevelopment.
