8th December 2016, Tunis: Signature of a partnership agreement between CONECT and IPEMED

On 8th December 2016, in Tunis, CONECT and IPEMED signed a partnership agreement. CONECT (Confederation of Tunisian Citizen Enterprises) is an employer organisation that gathers Tunisian and foreign public and private companies of all sizes from all the regions in the country working in the various fields of the Tunisian economy.

This agreement was signed by Mr Tarak Chérif, President of the Alliance Group, and Mr Jean-Louis Guigou, President of Ipemed.

This event took place in the presence of Mr Olivier Poivre d'Arvor, French Ambassador in Tunis, and of a CGPME (General Confederation of Small and Medium-size Businesses) delegation.

The IPEMED delegation, made up of Jean-Louis Guigou, President, Jean-Marie Paintendre, International Advisor, and Mariem Brahim, in charge of economic studies, had the opportunity to meet two ministers:

  • Mr Zied Ladahri, Minister of Trade and Industry
  • Mr Fadhel Abdelkefi, Minister of Development, Investment and International Cooperation.

The two Tunisian ministers expressed their support to IPEMED’s initiatives that aim at promoting investment, developing intra-regional trade and favouring the development of coproduction in Tunisia.
