Paulette Pommier, Associate Expert at IPEMED, had been to Tunisia from March 11 to 14 with Mayssa Allani, Assistant Project Manager, to update her study on clusters in Maghreb.

Ms. Pommier’s first report, published in 2014, and available on IPEMED website, made it possible to map clusters in Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia, and to study the dynamics of inter-cluster cooperation between the two shores of the Mediterranean. This study, the first of its kind, has had effects both on actors and attitudes of the public authorities, particularly because of the expertise and exchanges it has generated both within and between countries.

During her visit to Tunis, Bizerte and Sfax in Tunisia, Paulette met the main protagonists, including the representatives of clusters as well as the relevant institutions and the territories involved.

This study will soon be available on our website and will also be presented as part of the 5 + 5 Summit in Marseille.
