Since 2012, IPEMED has been involved in the Mediterranean Preparatory Process for the World Water Forum. From 12 to 17 April 2017, the Institute took part in the World Water Forum that was held in Korea.

Kelly ROBIN, Project Manager for Infrastructures and Natural Resources, represented the Institute during regional sessions, especially those on the topics “Water Governance” and “Access to water and sanitation in the Mediterranean”. These exchanges enabled IPEMED to promote its works on the Mediterranean Water Agency, and more recently, the results of its study on innovative funding mechanisms to favour access to water and sanitation in the Mediterranean.

The following documents are available for free download below:

  • Kelly ROBIN’s presentation on “Access to drinking water and sanitation: successes and remaining challenges in the Mediterranean region”;

  • The Mediterranean Position Paper in view of the Forum, such as adopted during the last preparatory meeting, on 1st April 2015, called “Addressing the crisis and ‘nexus’ through innovation and good governance - A Mediterranean Position Paper”;

  • The final report on the Mediterranean.
